I looked at the date of my last journal entry and figured a year might be a wee bit too long to leave the entry standing without update. No need to make people think I'm among the dead (no matter how close I've come some weeks), do I?
Anyway, much has happened! Very much! I've moved out, renting a condo in Canyon Country (and dying of heat stroke). I've discovered why I could never find a particular field in my school in which I'm good at. And I've also come to the conclusion; I have no social life outside of work...
So, yes, moved to Canyon Country, and it's been bouncing between 98-130 F degrees here. Lovely, isn't it? I can now officially sa I've visited hell. I literally cannot leave the house and stand in direct sunlight longer than ten minutes before my red-headed, fair-skinned, little ass cooks enough to make a boiled lobster envious. Yay for me... I’m buying stock in Aloe.
Meanwhile, at school, I'll be graduating this December (if all goes well), and I still can't pick a title of what I am. I don't just draw, I don't just model, I like to play with Rigs, I like to animate, I understand lighting and rendering... Basically, I can't decide what I should specialize in, cause I get too bored when I do too much of one thing. Though, I admit, although I can do decent compositing, I don't really like it. Well, unless its in music videos. That's fun! Anyway, I adopted CG Generalist, so I'm happy as punch now. ^_^
So, school is good, new housing is nice; all I'm missing now is a social life! ... Exactly, I'm missing a social life, damnit! I've become a work-a-holic! *cries* I am working on five projects right now. I don't mind, and they don't stress me out, but it's insane when I think about it! I'm compositing 3D elements into one short film. I'm doing the motion graphics and compositing for a short film being produced by my production team. I'm the CD Generalist in a Cinematic crew. I'm an assistant modeler and texture artist on the side for my friend's team. And I'm working as an agent with two artists in creating a Children's Book. Then you take into account my own work. But I'm actually having so much fun! I'm not bored at all! I get to play with all kinds of stuff, and this quarter I've again switched back from max to maya. And I've been toying with After Effects a lot. *squeals* I love playing!
But, yea, no social life.
Oh, by the way, Warning Label Productions is the name of the production team I've created with my two best friends. We'll be releasing our first short film soon. And after the music is written and composed, I'll be gathering a team together to create a 3D music video! So if you're interested, email me some samples of your work and a note of what you'd be interested in doing. Its all volunteer, but I want to help give people a leg up in getting their names out there. So come on! Let's make something cool! Haha!
Anyway, see ya!
